He is admitted to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Courts, and the California Supreme Court. Mr. Welch is a past member of the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA) and has over 10 years experience as a Judge Pro Tem in the San Diego Court system.

Family law agreements can define and protect your rights, assets and interests in the event of a divorce. They also establish the clear recognition of a legal relationship between two people – such as a domestic partnership agreement, a custody/visitation arrangement, or a marital settlement agreement. If your marriage or relationship is coming to an end, you must take the steps necessary to protect yourself and your children. Contact us as early as possible. Early contact allows us to educate you on your rights providing pre-dissolution planning even before a divorce-dissolution process is begun. We can also act as a liaison between you and your spouse, diffusing potential conflicts early on. Knowing and understanding your rights can help prevent costly and time-consuming litigation.

Couples looking to avoid a battle in court may also be interested in the Judicial Arbitration process. During this process, your attorneys work with a retired Judge in order to resolve your marital and custody disputes out of court and in a more timely and cost-effective manner.

The Law Offices of Welch and Riley will assist with preparing, filing, reviewing, litigating and negotiating all of your family law and civil issues. We will look out for and protect you against potential and unforeseen problems. We provide a custom, boutique practice with personal attention to the individual complexities of your particular case. Initial retainers are reasonable and may be waived in certain cases.
